Fried Chicken ‘ala Agnes

After weeks of planning (and each of us getting over our own bouts with the common cold), we finally got around to scheduling a play date with my godson Damien, who is now 6 months old.  We always jump at the chance to hang out with him — He never fails to make us laugh.   You see, Anthony and I both ADORE kids, and I’ll admit that we often dream of someday having one of our own, but then again that’s a different blog post.  Hahaha!

Where Jellyfish Go to Dance

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.  I am not a fan of jellyfish.  Over the years, I have certainly had my share of stings while diving or snorkeling.  Anthony gets stung a lot too, in fact maybe even more than me — It must be a caucasian thing.  Though the stings, for the most part, are not harmful, thank God, each pin-prick sensation is nevertheless irritating when all you want to do is frolic in the water in peace.

Run, Starfish! Run!

Anthony and I were both feeling adventurous last weekend, but were not able to make any firm plans to go hiking or diving anywhere.  What we needed was a quick fix, and after throwing around some options (which included “malling,” which Anthony immediately turned down, and even a return to La Mesa Ecopark), we remembered that we have been meaning to visit the Philippines’ first oceanarium, located just next door to the historic Manila Hotel.  After a nod, a handshake, and an awkward high five (we don’t really “do” high fives), off we were to Manila Ocean Park!
