Where Cows Laugh and Sing

It was one of those afternoons where Anthony and I had to run to the mall for something random, like a garden hose or something.  Now I just remembered that since we live in a condo, we don’t really have a garden, so it probably wasn’t that. Let’s just say it was in that general category — Something important enough that we had to drop everything we were doing and run to the mall pronto just to get it. That, or maybe we were simply looking for an excuse to eat out. Honestly, I think that’s more like it.

Anyway, we’re shifting gears to light and easy this rainy Friday morning. So sit back, kick up your heels, and let us take you to a land where cows laugh and sing, also known as Robinson’s Galleria. Hahaha!

That day, we were less decisive than usual, having walked around the entire mall twice, just looking for a place to have lunch in. We finally decided to go with Sizzlin' Pepper Steak — Our first time!

Anthony and I feel exactly the same way about communal tables. We prefer to avoid them coz they're just awkward.

Why hello there, Happy Cow!

While waiting for our food, we practiced our table signals. Notice how Anthony has gotten very good at signaling "Stop!"

Our waitress immediately approached me as I flashed the green sign, prompting me to admit that I was just practicing. I don't think she found it very amusing. LOL!

From the restaurant, I observed how a lot of the colors in this part of the mall were very primary.

Primary red and yellow here too…

And then they served my Coke Zero…. What? Primary colors too?!?

I thought a soup and salad may be the responsible way to go, but as you can see, I still ended up with creamy, rich, and fried.

Just like my dad, I like to start my meals with soup, though this corn soup was a little too thick for a hot afternoon.

I jiggled happily in my seat when I fished out this spoonful of corn kernels.

Anthony and I both get very excited over fried chicken cutlets, especially when they're crusted with cheesy goodness.

The meal was so-so, as the salad came over-dressed and turned out to be too rich for me to finish the entire thing.

On TV, a trio of school girls expressed their love for Sizzlin' Pepper Steak by way of interpretative dance.

As I found myself shooting color stories for the blog, I couldn't help but approach this perfectly coordinated couple in the next table for a photo op. Shout out to Abby and Jim!

This got me thinking about how my REAL reaction would be if I came across an oversized mouse in a spacesuit.

See? I told you they sing! LOL!

Just when you think things couldn't get more awkward.

Till our next random afternoon at the mall…
