TALKABOUT : The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Come join us as we spend a good five minutes talking about a movie we haven’t even seen, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Also, stay tuned for Anthony’s commentary on what to do when you’re being chased by a zombie in high heels.

Since December of last year, Anthony has been wanting to see this movie, but had to wait until the Manila Film Festival, our version of the Oscars during which local theaters only show Philippine-made movies, was over.

Having seen enough of the movie, I can confidently say I would NOT want a girl with a dragon tattoo chasing me down the street. However, I would most definitely buy Vogue if she appeared on its cover (which I did). Hahaha!

Love this portrait of Rooney Mara, by the way, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for Vogue…

… Which reminds me of Millais' haunting painting, Ophelia, depicting the Shakespearean character singing to herself before drowning in a river in Denmark. Do you know the painting has an estimated value of £30 million?

All this art talk got me wondering whether the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo would get along with the Girl with the Pearl Earring. Perhaps we can ask the Man with One Red Shoe? LOL!

This is the poster for the movie, Zombadings, which Anthony and I thoroughly enjoyed and also mention in the vlog.

You can check out our previous blog post about Zombadings here.

Lo and behold, we managed to find a girl –I'm assuming– with a cabbage tattoo… You gotta love the web! (Photo courtesy of Ugliest Tattoos)

Let us know below what you think of the movie. It doesn’t really matter whether you’ve seen it or not. Hahaha!  And feel free to share what other movies are on your watch list.  Happy weekend, guys!

I love love love the book! As in 3am clutching the pages under the covers, sleep-depriving, love! I also love Daniel Craig, in much the same way (3am wakefulness love!), so you can just imagine the movie…

Good news, Joey! I finally finished the movie, and I must say, it was much better than I thought. But the fact remains that I had to see it in two sittings… I guess I get queasy a lot easier than I think. LOL!
