Hi everyone!  It’s Arlu and Anthony, and we’re thrilled to welcome you to our new blog.  We’ve been a couple for eleven years now and currently live in the Philippines with our little pal, Dug the Pug.

We thought a blog might be a fun way to celebrate our shared fascination for art, travel, culture, and food.  ESPECIALLY food, which is coincidentally central to his being Italian American and my being Filipino.

Just like any other couple, we do have our terms of endearment for each other.  In the mornings, I usually greet him with “Hi, Mister!  To which he replies, “Hello Balloon.”  And that’s where we got the name for the blog.
