Last Sunday, we loaded the car with our hiking gear (and of course, lots of snacks and drinks) for an afternoon at La Mesa Eco Park, a 33-hectare public park located next to the reservoir that provides drinking water to 12 million residents in Metro Manila. We got there much quicker than I anticipated and — as you will see in the photos that follow — you will be amazed at how quickly the landscape changes from an urban jungle to a real one, just 40 minutes away from Ortigas Center.
